The Volunteer Center of Brown County encourages individuals and groups to submit nominations for this spring’s 37th annual Volunteer Awards presented by Wisconsin Public Service Foundation. Nominations are now open and will be accepted until noon on February 14th.
The Volunteer Awards celebrate the efforts of community members who enhance the quality of life in Brown, Shawano, Oconto, Kewaunee and Manitowoc counties by volunteering their time and talents. The Awards honor outstanding individuals or groups in eight categories. Each recipient and runner-up receive a donation from the Volunteer Center of Brown County to provide to the nonprofit or charitable organization of their choice.
“For 37 years, the Volunteer Center of Brown County has recognized individuals and organizations whose selfless work has made an invaluable impact in northeast Wisconsin,” said Matt Hohner, Executive Director for the Volunteer Center of Brown County. “We’ve been honored to partner with WPS for more than three decades in this endeavor to celebrate volunteers and their determination to build strong communities.”
The Volunteer Center of Brown County will present each award recipient and runner-up with a donation of $1,000 and $500, respectively, to provide to the nonprofit organization of their choice. The youth recipient and runner-up will each receive scholarships in the same monetary amounts.
